INTEGRATED MOBILE TECHNOLOGY IN CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY

Effective Use Of  Mobile Technology

One of the factors which determine the possibility of a job to be done well or entirely fail is the communication. Enhanced use of mobile technology would enable the business to do very well. Poor communication would always lead to negative results from the business products. This is the case for construction Industry too. People or employees need to communicate to pass information, which would help in the effective working of the firm. The quality of the productivity can increase, by focusing more towards communication. A committee of communication is selected which regulates all the communication channels in the business. Integrated mobile technology and information on construction sites is giving effective results and helps to get the work completed in time.

Technology has improved communication in business construction organizationCommunication in business entails passing of information, yes, but it is done through different ways, not only phone calling to give information, but also in controlling the CCTV cameras to have a view of how the employees work, from a certain point. The mobile gadgets used for communication in the construction companies have a positive effect in many departments of the organization. One would find that a good percentage of the companies that operate with mobile gadgets to access information from the office while at field work, do very well and save their time.

Application Of  Mobile Technology In Construction

Those who consider being the devices by themselves take long to establish as a company. The mobile device is multi purpose for those who use it, would take a picture of the construction sites, in the construction company, as well, access documents of their interest to continue with work. All this about positives of mobile integration to the business is true, only that, most construction companies tend to be conservative and maintain to the previous ways of operation without a mobile device.
Integration of mobile device would place the business at a better place than before. Most of the activities would take a short time to be implemented hence, increasing the quality and quantity of the products of the organization. Ways should be formulated by the state
authorities to have the mobile device used in the businesses that do not have, to improve the country’s economic stability. Companies or organizations that do not have the mobile integration should benchmark in firms that have to see the workability and the profitability of operating under such a situation.
Mobile technology techniques that construction businesses have adopted and will be adopting are many mobile applications, GPS tracking, mobile device reporting and digital documentation technique, wearable technology, etc. Since we are working in an industry where workers are ever moving the use of mobile technology will surely benefit in the smooth running of our work. Early detection of clashes and sorting them soon will happen by use of mobile technology.

GREEN CONCRETE: AN ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY BUILDING MATERIAL

What Is Green Concrete And How It Is Beneficial In Making Eco-Friendly Buildings?

Nowadays, the demand for green concrete, clean building materials is growing. Architects, developers, engineers, and entrepreneurs worldwide are seeking new, innovative building solutions that do not harm the environment.

What Is Green Concrete?

Recently green concrete has become very popular in many countries, including the US. It is all started in Malaysia, where the government encourages construction companies to use green concrete in buildings and other structures. Green concrete is produced from recycled materials using processes that are not harmful to the environment.
Concrete can be called “green” when the materials used for production are eco-friendly, and no non-sustainable resources are used. Besides, green concrete is cheaper to produce and requires fewer raw materials than traditional concrete.

Benefits of Green Concrete

Green concrete brings many benefits to manufacturers. It is cost-effective and environmentally friendly. Besides, it is 30% stronger than traditional concrete because it is designed using the latest technologies that ensure durability and improved performance. Moreover, it has a very low carbon footprint; it recycles byproducts of other materials and has the potential for commercialization.
For example, fly ash, a waste byproduct, is used to produce green concrete. It can replace cement and reduce pollution. Aluminum fiber is another material that can be used in green concrete. All these benefits make contractors switch to green concrete instead of using other materials.
Green concrete is the material of future, and it still needs to be improved. But it is clear now that this material can help the environment while decreasing costs. Scientists say soon many constructors will prefer it over other building materials.
Production green concrete requires specific education and expertise, new materials and skills to operate new equipment. Scientists search for ways to make production easier and ensure more green buildings and materials appear.

THE ARRIVAL OF REALITY MODELING

Reality Modeling, Complete New Concept In Construction Sector

Nowadays, construction companies search for ways to develop and deliver their projects as they want to get in touch with their clients on a more personal level and eliminate risks of errors. It became possible with the introduction of Oculus Rift. Even better, you only need your Smartphone for reality modeling.
In January 2017, Sue Klawans, the SVP of Gilbane Building Company, had a webinar about innovation and technologies that make reality modeling possible. They also talked about the benefits this technology delivers to engineers, constructor and their clients. Let’s have a look.
Companies Use Laser Scanning for Reality Modeling
Many companies are implementing laser scanning for their reality-capture needs. For example, PCL Construction uses this technology for almost every project to ensure enhanced interaction with clients. According to Nick Kurth, Virtual Construction Manager of PCL Construction, the company has bought more than ten scanners in 18 months. They also trained two employees to work with these scanners.
PCL Construction uses scanners to download new and old projects as well as update and change them. The company is now thinking about hand-held scanners which are smaller than regular scanners. According to Nick Kurth, hand-held scanners are more comfortable when you need to work on remodeling and reconstruction projects. All in all, both bigger and smaller scanners have proved to be effective, and other companies begin to use them as well.
Nick Kurth says that reality modeling is a crucial part of creating mixed-reality 3D models. And smaller scanners can be used to download models everywhere, either in the office or on site to show engineers and construction workers how the projects should be handled.
Reality Modeling technology is still in development and will be changed and improved in future, but with more and more companies using reality modeling, it is clear that new visualization software will appear soon.
