Explore the Future of BIM In India

BIM-Building Information Modeling is a valuable tool in the hands of anyone who works in the construction industry. Undoubtedly, the idea of collaborative working is growing wider and popular through the years. Therefore, it is critical for all construction agencies to be aware of the various BIM capability levels. Thus, before we go further, it would be beneficial to try to define what BIM actually means?

As we discussed above, BIM is Building Information Modeling. To make it simple, BIM leads to a collaborative system of working based on the creation and exchange of data information between the different project participants. Based on this information the complete cycle of a building, from conception to completion, you can manage. In that cases, it is an essential part of the decision-making process. BIM began gaining attention in the 90’s, and it has evolved remarkably during the last decades.

The future of BIM
The future is now for- Building Information Modelling, usually identified by its acronym “BIM.” BIM is already in progress in dozens of countries; BIM has the potential for an exciting development worldwide. The BIM managers can design, build and manage the buildings and other constructions from roads and bridges according to public conveniences throughout their life cycles.

“BIM is a process,” “It is not a portion of the software. However, there is plenty of software that associates in BIM, and it is the process of getting all the parts assembled digitally and linking them to give you a real-life version of building construction.

Thus, it enables you to visualize a constructed building before it is built.”

As a global concept, BIM was first recommended in the 1970s, while, the phrase “Building Information Modelling” was not bolted in until the early 2000s. BIM software was pioneered then by merchants such as Autodesk, which are still significant players.

Check the Utilization of building information in the future
On the micro level of specific building projects, with BIM plan expenses may go up; construction expenses frequently go down; yet these aspects still represent only 20% of the total costs a building owner suffers from idea to demolition. The other 80% comes under operations.

The actual value of BIM is the information that it presents you during the existence of that building.

“If you asked me, what is the future of BIM? Then it is really how we will utilize all the information that we have collected during the design and construction and also turn it into something that the end user, and the handlers of that facility, can utilize it to solve difficulties on an on-going basis.”

Conclusion
We have fabulous future of BIM in India. We still require hitting the hard rock to emerge better. At present we are working on making this happen. Within next 4–5 years, the construction industry will change entirely. If not, BIM Experts are here to make this happen.

Indian construction industry is vast and also contributes second highest to agriculture in its GDP. Our construction market is $1.8 trillion, third highest in the world after China and Japan.

BIM is going to be the multi-billion $ industry in India in next few years.
